REVIEWS

"Burach are a potent example of the way Scots music is going. The traditional base and rock rhythm section propells each other to greater heights. 'The Weird Set' is imbued with such energy and joie d'vivre it could kick start a jumbo jet. 'All I Ask' and 'Zombie Song' both are simply red hot bursting with life while 'Curve' highlights Alison Cherry's distinctive voice neatly complimenting George Stott's strident lead vocal. 'Three Reels' and 'The Weird Set' itself highlights their instrumental talents recalling the gutsy drive of the JSD Band with a wild abandoned swagger of its own, Burach are a rare find. 'The Weird Set' more wonderful and wild than weird and sees them flying out of the starting gates."

"Fantastic, fiesty celtic music that will get you jumping. A collection of some great tunes and songs that mix a variety of musical backgrounds, but retain a strong Celtic sound. I recommend Vincent Black Lightening, my all time favourite song."
